One of the best walking trails in North-west Auckland. Amazing views all along the coast and stunning views of north harbor. The walk takes you through WWII era bunkers and air fields. There's also an amphitheater (the only public toilet is near this). Ample parking space 🅿️ and plenty of options for cafes/restaurants after a great walk! …
Awesome place for a relaxing walk. Plenty of parking available on weekends, with a great bar and restaurant nearby. Great views of the surrounding harbour and old air hangar. New developments can be seen everywhere around this area, there is also a ferry service as well, including a nearby park.
It's a beautiful walk along the marshy coastline. There path is largely paved and there is little elevation, so it's a very beginner level walk. At the carpark, the old airfield has been renovated with many cafes and restaurants. It's a lovely look with the plane hangars completely made over.
Awesome suburban walkway, the best I've done. 5 ks of almost flat walking on brilliantly planted and formed paths with regular toilets and cafes on the route.
Great public walkway for leisure or exercise jog, bring the kids and enjoy the big outdoor. Do stop by Catalina Bay and enjoy a feed. Look out for Captain Crepes food truck by the Farmers Market and enjoy a delightful French crepe while you are there. Plenty to do and see 😆 …
Pretty cool walk, sharing paths with cyclists and kids…there’s a dog park area where they can run off leash and the loop ends on a nice market area where the Ferry is
An early morning walk or late afternoon stroll would be a suitable time to go… probably because we went here with our kids haha :)
The pathwalk is very stroller / wheelchair friendly. The place is tidy. There’s no toilet that we saw along the pathwalks.
The view is a mixed of motorway, bushes, and new built houses / aprartments / retirement village.
Excellent place to walk with a lot of beautiful sights... friendly people, but not very challenging in terms of difficulty. Sunsets are amazing.
